Patricia Miranda hails from the Maipo Valley in Chile and joined the Winemaking Team at Isabel Estate in 2004. Patricia studied Agronomist Engineering, specialising in Economics, Oenology and Viticulture at the
Pontific University Catholic of Chile. Patricia has worked in a number of wine regions including the Yakima and Napa Valleys in the USA, and has also assisted in vintages at Henri Bourgeois in Sancerre, France and Dr. Loosen in the Mosel region in Germany. Patricia endeavours to make wines that reflect the individual characters from the vineyard and the superb Marlborough climate, creating expressive, as well as complex and elegant wines. "I think that the Marlborough region has natural winemaking conditions; it is well known for its Sauvignon Blanc and also this cool climate holds great potential for the increasingly explored varieties such as Pinot Gris."

Richard is responsible for the financial management and accounting for Isabel Estate. He also organises export-shipping documentation and manages the intricacies of foreign exchange. Richard has little down time, as we find him to be a man of answers and an excellent DJ for office entertainment. On a personal note, Richard is a talented photographer and we have some of his beautiful images featured thoughout this site.

Stephanie looks after our international markets, liaising with Distributors to manage requirements for their marketplaces. She works alongside Mike and Robyn for all promotional events, locally and overseas. Stephanie joined us in 2005 from Vancouver, Canada and brought with her a Sommelier diploma and over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. "I have always adored Isabel wine. To now work so closely with the family estate is a dream come true....especially in such a beautiful country."

Claire is forever proving her abilities in the marketing department and we abuse her computer abilities on a regular basis! Her young blood and enthusiasm, along with a Bachelor of Commerce and Management degree, allows for tireless ingenuity in all she accomplishes. Claire is responsible for administrating the New Zealand market, assists with export developments and is also the friendly face you are ‘most likely to meet’ at our Cellar Door.

Mike, a born and bred Marlborough man, is a true systems man. With a strong background in Horticulture and ample enthusiasm, he is enjoying the challenges of Marlborough terrior. Mike oversees all vineyard activities with careful attention to the various microclimates and essential canopy management.

Patience is our personal ‘Wonder Women’… her abilities to multi-task must be the result of being the mother of two boys. Patience is responsible for the smooth operation of several departments as she juggles all domestic invoices, controls the ever-changing stock levels and looks after our busy vineyard lodge. All this and she still answers the phone politely!
